Alec Baldwin, TLC, The Baldwins

If you had “Alec Baldwin launches a reality series” on your 2024 Bingo card, give yourself a chip. Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are opening their doors to audiences for a new TLC reality series, with the working title The Baldwins. Set for a 2025 release, Alec and Hilaria announced the show via Instagram with a video of what you can expect from the upcoming peek behind the curtain of their busy lives. In the video, Alec and Hilaria attempt to pitch the series before sharing a montage of what it’s like living with their seven screaming children.

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild, and the crazy,” Alec says in the short promo. “Home is the place we love to be most.”

Alongside the announcement, TLC shared the following description of Alec and Hilaria’s upcoming reality series:

“Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago. In this TLC follow-doc series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids. For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the nonstop love, laughter and drama.”

Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin counts down the days until the July trial for his manslaughter indictment in the death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin could be sentenced to 18 months in jail if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

During the production of the Western film Rust, a live round was discharged from a revolver used by Alec Baldwin, which killed Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza. Baldwin was originally charged last year, but the charges were dropped just a few months later. However, they were dropped “without prejudice,” meaning the prosecutors could still refile charges as the investigation continued. Baldwin was again charged with involuntary manslaughter earlier this year, with the actor’s lawyers saying, “We look forward to our day in court. “

Do you dare to enter the Baldwins’ chaotic home filled with seven screaming children and unpredictable shenanigans? What do you think about the timing of this announcement? Let us know in the comments section below.

A Quiet Place: Day One

The sci-fi horror A Quiet Place franchise is heading to New York with its latest entry, A Quiet Place: Day One, which is set to reach theatres on June 28th – and with that release date just a few weeks away, Empire has published an interview with director Michael Sarnoski, who earned a lot of positive attention with his feature directorial debut Pig (watch it HERE) a few years ago, in which he discusses what it was like to enter the world that was created by John Krasinski, the director of A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place: Part II.

Sarnoski said, “When [Krasinski] first brought me onto the project, his directive was, ‘Can you bring some of that Pig touch to the A Quiet Place universe?’ What he wanted was to see someone else play in the sandbox that he had created. Finding those differences was exciting. It wasn’t something that we leaned away from. In the first two, family was really important. And with that comes characters that have an established relationship. I wanted to explore what the end of the world looked like for people that didn’t have an established relationship, or a reason to care about each other.

The director also felt it was important to challenge himself on this project. “It’s something I learned on Pig as well: don’t be scared of taking big swings and trying new things. I could have gone into this just terrified, but I decided to just be like, ‘I’m just gonna give it a shot, hope for the best, and be daring with stuff.’

The story of A Quiet Place: Day One, which is credited to Krasinski and Sarnoski, does take place in the same world established in the first two movies, but doesn’t involve the Abbott family, the characters we followed through the first two movies. Deadline’s sources said that after seeing Pig and being blown away by the film, Krasinski was quick to put Sarnoski on the short list of directors to take a meeting for the project. While insiders say Sarnoski’s vision for the film was still his own and different from what Krasinski had done with the first two, he still gave a pitch that fit the tone of the world they had created and felt he was the perfect fit for their next installment.

Krasinski is producing A Quiet Place: Day One under his Sunday Night banner, while Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller produce through their company Platinum Dunes. Krasinski’s Sunday Night partner Allyson Seeger serves as executive producer.

The film stars 12 Years a Slave Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Alex Wolff of Hereditary and Pig, and Joseph Quinn, who is better known as Eddie Munson from the most recent season of Stranger Things. Djimon Hounsou, who played “Man on Island” in A Quiet Place: Part II, reprises that role here.

Here’s the official synopsis: Experience the day the world went quiet.

Here’s the official synopsis for That ’90s Show Part 2:

It’s 1996, and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started.

In addition to bringing Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos back for more teenage tantrums, schwag weed dutchies, and nosy neighbor invasions, Netflix’s That ’90s Show Part 2 trailer teases a who’s who of cameo appearances from the likes of Don Stark, Laura Prepon, and Andrea Anders. Created by Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, Lindsey Turner, and Gregg Mettler, That ’90s Show recaptures the comedic vibes of That ’70s Show with ’90s sensibilities. Whether you were a teen during the Lisa Frank stationary explosion or a parent suffering the Furby apocalypse, That ’90s Show takes audiences back to when stoners crowned Courtney Love as Miss World and every night was a Blockbuster night.

What do you think about Netflix’s That ’90s Show Part 2 trailer? Can Leia mend fences with her friends and survive the summer? Can Red endure having Bob as his neighbor again? We’ll find out when That ’90s Show returns to Netflix, with Part 2 on June 27 and Part 3 on October 24.

Hush Mike Flanagan

Filmmaker Mike Flanagan believes that “Physical media is critical,” which is not a belief that was shared by his former employers at the Netflix streaming service. Flanagan recently said that he tried very hard to get Netflix to release the work he did for them on Blu-ray and DVD, but they “refused at every turn.” But while several Flanagan projects remain on Netflix and aren’t available on physical media, he has revealed that he has taken his 2016 film Hush away from the streaming service so he can give it a long-awaited physical media release!

During an appearance at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, Flanagan said (with thanks to Slash Film for the transcription), “We took it back because I really value physical media. And Netflix, by policy, it does not work in their business plan. So we took it back. We do have a new home for it. I can’t say where. I can say there will be a physical release, and that there will be a lot of really awesome surprises that we’ve been working on for a year to make this release awesome. It’s something that will be really exciting. The fans have been waiting. If you’ve been looking for Hush and it’s nowhere to be found, it will be back soon. It will be everywhere. You’ll be able to stream it. You’ll be able to have it in your collection, and it’s gonna be worth the wait because we did some really awesome new stuff for it.

Getting physical media releases for his work is so important to Flanagan, he has even show support for the bootleggers who rip his shows from Netflix and burn them to disc. He said, “‘Pirates’ are, in some cases, the only hope for archival preservation of a growing amount of shows and movies. I have purchased several pirated Blu-ray copies of Midnight Mass, am very impressed with the quality and presentation, and I am profoundly grateful they exist. Godspeed, noble archivists.

Hush has the following synopsis: After losing her hearing as a teenager, author Maddie Young has lived a life of isolation fully retreating into her now silent world. When the masked face of a psychotic killer appears in the window of her secluded home, she must push herself beyond her mental and physical limits in order to survive the night.

The film stars Kate Siegel, John Gallagher Jr., Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, and Emma Graves.
