Of the sevendemos I played at the Tribeca Festival’s official games section, darkwebSTREAMER is by far the one I spent the most time with. The horror narrative roguelike’s risk-reward system, based around streaming progressively more dangerous occult activities in hopes of becoming the best streamer you can be,…

Sacré bleu! Will Ferrell is brushing up on his French for a live-action adaptation of the cult cartoon series Totally Spies! at Amazon! Ferrell is executive-producing the YA adaptation based on the Banijay Kids animated show. Totally Spies! focuses on Clover, Alex, and Sam, three international spies executing life-threatening missions while navigating a turbulent first year at college. Totally Spies! is like Charlie’s Angels with a French twist, Clueless-like humor, and Mission: Impossible-style action.
The Totally Spies! live-action project is from Amazon MGM Studios and Banijay Kids & Family. Amazon’s head of Pan-English original content, Rola Bauer, is leading the charge. Will Ferrell executive produces alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor through Gloria Sanches Productions. Banijay Kids & Family CEO Benoît Di Sabatino also executive produces.
“Totally Spies!’ is a huge success for Banijay Kids & Family, having been translated in 60 languages and sold to more than 220 territories,” Di Sabatino said. “With a social media base of 3 million, the series continues to thrive in its animation form with the recently launched 7th season. Rola Bauer approached me for a live-action adaptation, and we were thrilled to partner with Amazon MGM Studios. With her, Ludovic Attal, and Punit Matoo’s support, we are honoured to join such a stronghold of female-focused producers in Gloria Sanchez Productions to produce for Prime Video.”
While Totally Spies! could go under most people’s radar, the show is a smash overseas. Created by Vincent Chalvon-Demersay and David Michel, the first iteration of Totally Spies! is close to airing 200 episodes of cheeky spy shenanigans. The animated series paved the way for a prequel film, Totally Spies! The Movie and the spinoff The Amazing Spiez! The spinoff is in its seventh season in France, with the show coming to U.S. Cartoon Network later this year. To prime kids and parents for the live-action adaptation, episodes of Totally Spies! are streaming on Prime Video now.
With Will Ferrell executive producing the live-action Totally Spies!, the series could display a level of absurdist comedy that previous installments did not have. Totally Spies! has always been funny, but Ferrell comes from a different line of comedians. Can Ferrell and friends thread the needle of keeping Totally Spies! authentic while adding a new twist on the fan-favorite spy setup? I suspect so.

Although it was announced back in April that production had wrapped on writer/director Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3, there was actually some more filming to do this month. Now it’s being reported that production on the film wrapped last week, for good this time – and to mark the occasion, Deadline got their hands on an image that reveals Jason Patric of The Lost Boys is in the cast! That’s the image featured above.
Leone provided the following statement: “To say it’s an honor and a privilege having Jason on board is an understatement. He’s one of the best actors of his generation and has a deep respect for this franchise and his craft which is why I’m thrilled for fans to see his pivotal role in the Terrifier universe. It’s not every day I get to work with the star of some of my favorite films (if you know me, you know how I feel about The Lost Boys in particular), so this has been a dream come true and a very exciting collaboration to say the least.“
Terrifier 3 has the following synopsis: Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
David Howard Thornton reprises the role of Art the Clown, a character who was first introduced in Leone’s 2013 anthology All Hallows’ Eve (although Thornton didn’t start playing him until Terrifier). Also in the cast with Thornton and Jason Patric are Lauren LaVera, who’s back as Terrifier 2 heroine Sienna; Elliot Fullam returns as Sienna’s brother Jonathan, Samantha Scaffidi is returning as Terrifier and Terrifier 2 character Victoria Heyes, and Daniel Roebuck has been cast in the role of Santa Claus. FX legend Tom Savini will also be showing up, in an unspecified role. Chris Jericho, who had a cameo in Terrifier 2, is back in Terrifier 3 – but he has let everyone know that his appearance in the film won’t last very long.
Leone has said that this new sequel will be going back to the tone of the first movie, as he’s aiming to make the third film the scariest, goriest, and most depraved of the bunch. He’ll be pulling back on the mystical/fantasy element that was so prevalent in the second film, and is also aiming to make sure this one will be less than two hours long, since the second one surpassed the two hour mark. If you’re worried that Terrifier 3 might wrap the franchise up as a trilogy, have no fear. Leone knows that horror franchises always continue, and anything’s possible once the supernatural gets involved. So even if he brings a sequel to a satisfying conclusion for himself as the creator of the franchise, the door can always be opened to more sequels.
Terrifier 3 is set to reach theatres on October 11th. Are you excited to see Jason Patric in the same movie with Art the Clown? Share your thoughts on this one by leaving a comment below.
Hey there, movie buffs! In case you might not be aware, of the many channels comprising the JoBlo Movie Network on YouTube, one of our newest and fastest-growing is JoBlo en Español. The channel offers Spanish-language translations of our most popular original YouTube content! Launched just under two years ago, we’ve already hit the incredible milestone of 100K SUBSCRIBERS—¡qué rápido! Our channel features popular shows like “Qué Sucedió con…”(our twist on “What Happened to This Movie” & “What Happened to this Celebrity”), “Acción Clásica” (the Spanish cousin of “Reel Action”), and the “Revisitadas” series. We’re here to bring the magic of movies to the Hispanic community, one video at a time.
Here’s how we reached this amazing milestone!
Reaching 100,000 subscribers on JoBlo en Español is not just a milestone; it’s a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication that has gone into this journey. When I joined the JoBlo team, I was tasked with a challenge: to bring the essence of our beloved English content to the Spanish-speaking audience. This has meant translating, reediting, re-narrating, scheduling, and publishing every video with the same quality and enthusiasm that our viewers expect.
Starting From Scratch
Being born and raised in LATAM (Latin America) has made clear the impact of how we perceive media content from abroad. The dubbing industry, for example, is something we take very seriously and respectfully. The content-adaptation process is fascinating, and being part of a project based on that feels amazing. When I first started, the channel was just an idea. The goal was clear, but the path was anything but easy. Translating content isn’t just about converting words; it’s about capturing the tone, the excitement, and the unique voice that makes JoBlo special. This has required a deep understanding of both languages and cultures, ensuring that every video feels authentic and engaging.
Challenges and Triumphs
Every step of this journey has come with its own set of challenges. From technical issues to ensuring that every video meets the high standards set by JoBlo, there have been days when it has felt like an uphill battle. However, with each new video, each new subscriber, and each piece of positive feedback, it has become clear that we are building something truly special. Seeing comments defending our channel against harsh criticism, receiving ‘super thanks,’ and hitting the first 1,000 subscribers are some of the significant milestones that have stood out.
Viewer Engagement
Interacting with our audience has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey. People have shared how our videos make their day better and heart-touching stories about watching movies or shows with their late loved ones or during their childhood. These interactions have felt incredible and have fueled our passion to keep improving and growing.
The Support of a Great Team
This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support from the entire JoBlo team. The help from JoBlo CEO & Founder Berge Garabedian, and President of Operations, John Fallon, has been critical. Their trust, respect, and the creative liberty they have given me have been the fuel for this whole adventure. Their guidance, feedback, and encouragement have been instrumental in navigating the complexities of this project. Collaboration has been key, and together, we have been able to create a channel that resonates with a diverse and passionate audience.
A Growing Community
Seeing the subscriber count grow day by day has been a constant reminder of the impact we are making. It’s not just about numbers; it’s about building a community of fans who share our love for movies and entertainment. Interacting with our audience, reading their comments, and seeing their enthusiasm has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate reaching 100,000 subscribers in less than two years, I’m filled with a sense of accomplishment and excitement for the future. Creating Spanish-exclusive/original content would be the natural next step. Maintaining the JoBlo DNA while creating original content that resonates directly with LATAM audiences feels as exciting as it can get. Overcoming the massive amounts of data from the wonderful original English content, dealing with different filters and restrictions with YouTube policies in Spanish, and maintaining the original bloodline of JoBlo while transforming it to positively impact this new audience has been a unique challenge and an incredibly rewarding experience.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here’s to the next 100,000 subscribers and beyond!
When I turned 18, I dreamed of getting a Harley in Los Angeles. It wasn’t a realistic idea for me (personally, at least), but it likely stemmed from my love of flicks like Easy Rider, Vanishing Point, and others taking place on the open road. And then there was Sons of Anarchy, which I adored. And now we have The Bikeriders. The latest from the fantastic Jeff Nichols brings Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, and Jodie Comer to this gorgeous tale of a Midwestern motorcycle club called The Vandals. It has excellent performances and a terrific script that balances a little humor with this tale inspired by actual events. It fits right into my love of the road explored through the cinematic lens.
I recently had the opportunity to live my dream of being around these beautiful bikes and finally getting ink. I spent the day at The Bike Shed in Los Angeles. While there, the amazing Mara Ohara, “deathxcat” on Instagram, gave me my first tats. And I don’t regret it at all. They won’t be my last. I was incredibly giddy and had always thought about getting ink; I never found the right moment. Yet, Mara made it one of the most remarkable experiences I could’ve hoped for. If you are in Los Angeles and looking to update your tattoos or get a new one, I highly recommend Ms. Ohara.
Those in attendance also had the chance to take on the Bikerider experience, during which we were about to get brief training on riding a Harley. It was an absolute joy getting to feel that powerful motor underneath you. As far as experiences go, we also got to hop on board and ride around the city for a few minutes with a driver taking the wheels. This experience allowed me to live my 18-year-old dream in ways I could’ve never imagined. And we also were given a cool denim jacket and a choice of patches. I’m happy with the ones I chose.
I finished the day by chilling a bit with the legendary Norman Reedus before going on to the interviews. And happily, they all were incredible. Jeff Nichols is a phenomenal director, one of my favorites. He opened up about bringing this engaging story to life in such a big way. I’ve always appreciated how the filmmaker explores his subjects; this film is no exception.
And then came the ink. Not only did I get to share my new tattoos with Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy, but all the interviews were an absolute joy. For Austin and Jodie, they discussed taking on the project. Considering the story is told from the perspective of Ms. Comer’s character, it gives the film a rich and insightful take on how things can be corrupted and changed. And the two were wonderful to talk to. They were as kind and funny as they could be.
Finally, Tom Hardy is the man. I’ve interviewed him a couple of times before, and he’s always amazing. Tom is the real deal. The man is kind, funny, intelligent, and always has an engaging conversation. After bringing up our last interview, and revealing the ink, the conversation went in one of the most fun directions I’ve ever had speaking to talent. Mr. Hardy is easily a favorite for me. And this was the perfect movie to talk to him about. He has a passion for this film. And he’s fantastic to chat with.
See The Bikeriders this coming weekend. It’s a refreshingly exciting look at a unique time in history. The film is beautifully written and directed, and the supporting cast includes everyone from Nichols regular, Michael Shannon. I’d love to thank everyone at Focus Features, The Bike Shop, the junket crew, and the kindness of the talent involved in this incredible event.
Most of Elden Ring developer FromSoftware’s games have some form of cooperative play. However, they are full of restrictions and cost-related mechanics that make it impossible for you to play the whole way through with a friend without jumping through hoops. The good news is, it doesn’t sound like the studio is…
