Every year, the comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000 celebrates Thanksgiving with their Turkey Day marathon – and this year’s marathon is being called the Potluck of the Stars Marathon, because they’ve scored some cool celebrity guests! Not only will Mystery Science Theater 3000 stars Joel Hodgson, Jonah Ray, Mary Jo Pehl, Emily Marsh, and Felicia Day be involved, but the likes of Mark Hamill, Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, David Dastmalchian, Kumail Nanjiani, and Bryan Fuller will also be showing up to present their favorite episodes of the show!

Here’s the information on the Turkey Day Potluck of the Stars Marathon: Hosted by Jonah Ray, this year’s marathon features celebrity MSTies David Dastmalchian, Mike Flanagan, Bryan Fuller, Mark Hamill, Matthew Lillard and Kumail Nanjiani and MST3K stalwarts Joel Hodgson, Felicia Day, Emily Marsh, and Mary Jo Pehl, all of whom will share a favorite MST3K episode with their fellow fans. The fun starts bright and early at 5 am ET on November 28 on Shout! TV and The MST3K Channel.

And you don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving to find out what the line-up is. Here’s the schedule (times shown at ET and PT):

5am / 2am: The Killer Shrews [Emily Marsh]
7am / 4am: Overdrawn at the Memory Bank [Kumail Nanjiani]
9am / 6am: Werewolf [Bryan Fuller]
11am / 8am: The Castle of Fu-Manchu [Matthew Lillard]
1pm / 10am: Space Mutiny [Mary Jo Pehl]
3pm / 12pm: Hobgoblins [Mike Flanagan]
5pm / 2pm: Samson vs The Vampire Women [David Dastmalchian]

9pm / 6pm: The Final Sacrifice [Joel Hodgson]
11pm / 8pm: Manos: The Hands of Fate [Felicia Day]
1am / 10pm: The Mask [Jonah Ray]

That sounds like a very fun line-up to me. I have been a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan since I was a kid, but I’ve never had the opportunity to watch one of these Turkey Day marathons.

The long wait is almost over, folks! Netflix’s The Night Agent is finally returning on January 23, 2025, and I’ve already marked the date on my calendar. Today, Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for The Night Agent Season 2, featuring Gabriel Basso as FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who answers the call to action as enemies of the state close in from all sides. Hold onto your butts, we’re going into this next mission head first, and there’s no safety net to catch us if we fall.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Night Agent Season 2 courtesy of Netflix:

“Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent , Peter Sutherland, whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.”

The Night Agent Season 1 was the most-watched series in 2023 (by views) and currently ranks as the 7th Most Popular English series on Netflix. The first batch of episodes garnered 98.2 million views in its first 91 days, which is very impressive. It was also #1 in the Glocal Top 10 for four consecutive weeks and reached the #1 spot in the Top 10 for 87 countries. Will The Night Agent Season 2 teaser trailer be enough to get fans psyched for upcoming episodes?

In The Night Agent Season 2 teaser trailer, Gabriel Basso’s Peter Sutherland runs like Tom Cruise in a Mission: Impossible movie, dodges bullets, and ducks behind cover while trying to survive an onslaught of trigger-happy criminals and lowlifes.

Are you excited that The Night Agent will make its return to Netflix? I hope the streamer puts together a comprehensive recap ahead of the first episode because it’s been a hot minute since we joined Peter for a political thriller that quickly spirals out of control.

The Night Agent returns to Netflix on January 23, 2025!

There’s a reboot of the classic Universal Monsters property The Wolf Man coming our way from Blumhouse Productions and The Invisible Man (2020) director Leigh Whannell, aiming for a January 17, 2025 theatrical release – and just one month after the first trailer made its way online, a new trailer has been released! You can check it out in the embed above.

The leads of this version of Wolf Man are Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, both of whom were in the 2011 film Martha Marcy May Marlene. Abbott is taking on the role of a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator. Garner is playing his wife. Sam Jaeger is also in the cast, along with child actress Matilda Firth, playing a character named Ginger: “Female, 10 years old, white. Blake and Charlotte’s daughter. Smart, precocious, and strong. When her family decides to leave the city for a quieter life in a remote area, she faces her biggest fear, the possibility of losing one or both of her parents forever.

When Wolf Man was first announced in 2020, Ryan Gosling was set to star in it – and in fact, it got rolling when Gosling pitched this take on the concept of The Wolf Man to Universal, and his idea was then fleshed out into a screenplay by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, a writing duo that previously worked on Orange Is the New Black. (Blum also happens to be married to Blumhouse founder Jason Blum.) At the time, it was said the story was “believed to be set in present times and in the vein of Jake Gyllenhaal’s thriller Nightcrawler with an obvious supernatural twist.” The final version of the script is credited to Blum and Angelo, as well as Whannell and his wife Corbett Tuck.

Whannell first signed on to direct the film in 2020, but dropped out the following year. That’s when Gosling’s Blue Valentine and Place Beyond the Pines director Derek Cianfrance came on board. Gosling and Cianfrance both stepped away from Wolf Man early last year… and then Whannell came back. A collaboration between Blumhouse and Motel Movies, Wolf Man is being produced by Jason Blum. Gosling receives an executive producer credit alongside Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell.

The Wolf Man reboot was recently given an R rating for bloody violent content, grisly images and some language. This isn’t the first time a reboot of The Wolf Man has been given an R rating, as the 2010 reboot that was directed by Joe Johnston and starred Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, and Emily Blunt was also rated R, for bloody horror violence and gore.

What did you think of the new trailer for Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man? Are you looking forward to seeing this movie in January? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
